Q Hospitality Group strengthens its board and management team with two new appointments
Bart Manning has been appointed CFO and Anouk Nieuwenhuizen as HR Director

Q Hospitality Group has strengthened its organisation as of September with the appointment of Bart Manning as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Anouk Nieuwenhuizen as HR Director. With these two appointments, the hotel group is further investing in the professionalisation of the organisation and strengthening its financial and organisational capabilities with a view to the company’s continued growth.
Q Hospitality Group has undergone significant growth in recent years. Both the number of hotels and business activities and the size and complexity of the organisation have increased considerably. At the same time, the group aims to grow further in the coming years. Strengthening financial and HR management therefore represents the next step in the company’s development.
Bart Manning nieuwe CFO
Bart Manning joins the executive board of Q Hospitality Group as CFO, succeeding John Stoffers, who is gradually scaling back his duties due to his age. Stoffers will remain associated with Q Hospitality Group for two days a week, focusing primarily on financial and strategic issues and providing support to the executive board.
Manning is a chartered accountant and joined from KPMG Netherlands, where he progressed from Audit Trainee to Senior Manager Audit over a period of almost eight years. During that time, he worked for a wide range of companies and gained extensive experience in financial reporting, governance, auditing and complex financial issues. In addition, whilst at KPMG, he was involved in the Emerging Leadership Programme and various internal and external training initiatives, including guest lectures at Radboud University.
With his appointment, Q Hospitality Group aims to further develop its financial organisation in line with the company’s growing scale and ambitions.
Anouk Nieuwenhuizen nieuwe HR Director
The HR organisation is also being further strengthened. Anouk Nieuwenhuizen took up her post as HR Director in September, taking over from Suzanne van Veldhuijsen, who had been filling this role on an interim basis. Van Veldhuijsen will continue to work for Q Hospitality Group on a part-time basis as an HR Specialist.
Nieuwenhuizen has extensive HR experience within the international hospitality industry. At Hotel Casa Amsterdam, as HR Manager, her responsibilities included professionalising the HR organisation and implementing new HR systems. She then, as HR Manager during the pre-opening of INNSiDE by Meliá Amsterdam, built the HR department from the ground up, with responsibility for areas including recruitment, employer branding, onboarding, employment law and organisational development.
In recent years, she has worked in the field of Learning & Talent Development at Meliá Hotels International. In her most recent role, she had strategic responsibility for talent and leadership development across 36 hotels in Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with a total of around 1,600 employees.
